contrast/texture. The way photographers use texture to add emotional interest and a 3 dimential feel. I used texture to add a sense of intrigue and really pull in the viewers attention. The closeness creates a false sense that you could run your hand over the harsh wood all the way to the smooth and cold bolt that is seemingly out of place. It gives wonder to how things feel or the backstory of things.

Value/movement the way photographers use movement is to add emotion and story telling. I used movement to give the viewer a feeling of wonder, how the photo came to be and what happened after. It also gives a whimsy feeling since moments like these aren't offten seen. it's also the peaceful ripple before the splash which can add space for a story behind this picture.

Balance and value. Photographers use value to create depth, contrast and emotion. I used value to make the subject jump out and give a harsher impact on the eye. Using the lighest whites and darkest blacks to accentuate each hair or detail on the subject .

Emphasis/space. Photographers use emphasis to give a focal point, directing the eye to the subject and enhance telling a storty. I usesd emphasis to help the subject stand out and give a feeling of fresh air when it's looked apon. the blurred and open background gives the same feeling as the sight, calm and uncluttered. Even the stem plays a part, it guides the eye from the edge all the way back up the the flower.

space/contrast. photographers use space to give an emotional impact, establish context and direct viewers attention. I used space by placing the subject in the foreground and the person in the background. this allows for more interest and room for a story behind the photo. The face takes up the entire background and eyes look the the foreground, both direct the viewer back to the focal point.

Balance/shape. shape is used by photographers in many ways such as creating a sense of space and substance, envoke emotions or guide the viewers eye. I used by having many organic shapes in the photo such as the leaves and the mushrooms themselves. this photo is also a scene of nature, putting the viewer in a sort of nature walk. the circle to the mushroom is smooth and calming but it sits tall showing us a different side to it.
