The artist I chose to take inspiration from was David Hockney. David Hockeny takes various photos of one subject and puts them together in a collage creating one very intresting photo. He thinks outside the box, using his creativity to its fullest potenial and uses all kinds of angles or techniques to accomplise it. David isn't worried about his work being seen as weird or confusing because he knows that he photos do what he wants. His photos invoke curiosity in viewers because it's different and they get people looking. That is excatly what drew me to his work as well, it's different and something you don't often see or do. It also got me thinking how you could get these different angles but still make a photo cohesive. He uses alot of contrast because each photo has a different angle, lighting and colour which create a strong visual. Hockney also uses a lot of shape, each frame/photo is a geometric shape and when compined they create a lager picture. I think I did this style justice because each photo captures the fragment/mulitframe style. In the first photo the mulitple angles allows us to see more of the subject then we would in just a single photo. The overlapping frames give a sense of wonder and whimsy whlie still maintaining a clear potrait. the second photo also does this style justice because it also captures the fragment/mulitframe style. each frame is slighty different but continues the subject and creates a more interesting photo. the lines of each fragment don't connect but that is exactly how Hockney structures his own photos. the multiframe style gives each photo a sense of dimention instead of feeling flat and bland.
